Wrong. On all counts. I know exactly what it feels like. I have fought a battle with weight my whole life. I know what it's like to be very big. I know what it's like to not be able to fit into a seat on a plane or at an old-time baseball park. I know what it's like to not fit in normal sized clothes. I know what it's like to be denied employment because of my size, turned down for dates, and made fun of.
I don't know what it is like to be morbidly obese because, at my largest, I was only 285 lbs. But if you are 3 times the size that I was at my peak, I do know you probably have 3 times as many health problems and 10 times as many emotional issues tied to your size. And lastly, I do know what it is like to get so large that you need to choose an alternative, and perhaps drastic, route to losing the weight. That, you will find out, was the 'never again' breaking point for me. I don't need to understand the precise nature of your exact pain to understand the pain of being fat. I get it.
Free Online Coaching and Support - Coaching requires contact and interaction. The internet and Social Media has made that easier than ever. We can work together online through my MetaMorpheSys Facebook Page or you can get send me eMail directly. In addition, through Beachbody (also FREE), you may set up an account with me as your Coach. When you do that, you will have access to fitness tracking tools and programs, as well as an entire community of fitness driven people that you can also ask for information!
Online Challenge Groups - There is always an Online Challenge Group going on. There are two types that I run.
One is the basic Challenge and Accountability Group where all participants are part of the Facebook Challenge group page. We share our goals and weightloss/fitness concerns. The real goal of this group is to start to be personally accountable for our health and fitness and experience how others are doing it. You pick your own form of exercise and 'roll' with it. Some will be doing aggressive programs (like P90X and Insanity) while others do beginner programs (like Tony Horton's Power Half-Hour). Some are doing their own gym based programs and others are just committing to 30 minutes of daily activity. Basically, we are trying to support each other's accountability and share the various programs we are all using.
Beachbody Challenge Groups are groups dedicated to the commitment of making a lasting physical change. In this group, you pick a Beachbody Challenge Pack (usually a DVD program and the Nutrition supplements for weightlossand fitness) and we follow the Beachbody program to the letter. We track our progress on the FREE Team Beachbody website and each participant is eligible for prizes. The incentive here is not the prizes. Through the combination of Beachbody's medically acclaimed nutrition product, Shakeology, and it's nationally successful fitness programs, the incentive here is to commit to change and MAKE IT HAPPEN. Not casually but with real dedication and commitment.
